In a bid to foster sustainability, resilience and future-readiness, the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) successfully hosted a one-day retreat with the theme: “Sustainability and Future-Proofing; Preparing LASRRA for 2025 and Beyond”.
The event, held over the weekend at Academy Inn and Multipurpose Hall, Plot 6, Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja, brought together all enrolment officers across the five divisions of the State for an in-depth reflection, learning and growth.
In her welcome address, the General Manager of LASRRA, Mrs. Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola said the participants will experience a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to building a workforce capable of delivering exceptional services to Lagos State Government. Her words: “I urge you all to focus on professional development, strategic planning and workforce optimization to ensure LASRRA is well positioned to meet the demands of 2025 and beyond”.
The various lectures underlined the importance of continuous learning and adaptability, encouraging the staff to embrace change and innovation while staying true to its core values.
Some of the topics that the participants taught include Time -Management, Igniting Purpose, Driving Impact, Motivating a Future-ready Workforce for Sustainable Success and Professionalism as a Cornerstone: Building a Resilient and Sustainable LASRRA Workforce.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of different categories of awards to individuals, such as Outstanding Dedication, Most Diligent, Team Player of the Year, etc. to individuals. The two best-performing divisions for the year were won by the Ikeja and Badagry divisions, while the Station Managers of Agege Maternity, Igando-Ikotun and Ajeromi-Ifelodun won at the subunit levels.
Dignitaries present at the event were: Permanent Secretary of Civil Service Commission, Mr. Akinbode Obadina, Retired Permanent Secretary; Mr. Abiodun Bamgboye and Retired Director from the Lagos State Records and Archives Bureau (LASRAB) and CEO/MD, PWK Consultancy Services Dr, Kolawole Oseni to mention a few.
